Under The Wire completed the cabling of a recording studio complex for Race Horse Studios, Culver City, CA. Pro tools based studio with outboard equipment including Digi Pre, Focusrite ISA 430, API 312 mic pres, API 550A EQ’s, Distressors, Eventide H3000, Dynaudio AIR 15 5.1 monitor system and other choice outboard equipment.

Duncan had a very specific vision of how he wanted the studio to be configured and we put extra time into laying out the patchbays and the normalling scheme to make the signal flow condusive to his work style. AES audio is hardwired to the 192’s and configured inside of the Pro Tools matrix. All analog signals, including mic lines are routed to the patchbays for maximum flexibility.

Duncan also has a very passionate approach to his work and we share that passion for what we do at Under The Wire. We completed a full re-installation of all of the studio’s equipment and Pro Tools system as well as the Pro Control console including tweaks to allow Duncan’s specific monitoring requirements. The monitoring is set up to easily swap monitor modes from stereo through the Auratones, 5.1 through the Dynaudio’s or stereo through the TV monitor.
