Under The Wire was started by Zack Fagan. He has been living and working in Los Angeles for over 10 years. After graduating Full Sail’s coveted school for recording engineering in 1998, he quickly earned his worth in the Los Angeles studio scene as a dedicated and talented tech and recording engineer. Before (and after) forming Under The Wire, Zack worked with many recording artists such as: The Aquabats, Cypress Hill, Snoop Dog, Dwight Yoakam, Melanie C, Warren G, TLC, Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde, Mike Bordin, Olivia Newton John and many others.

The team today consists of diversified techs and office staff. Zack, Kris, Deb, Gwen, Augie and Mike work to keep the Under The Wire wheels greased and running smoothly. We understand the dynamic of the world we work in and we thrive in it!

What We Do

Zack Fagan’s Under The Wire specializes in the design, installation and maintenance of commercial and private studio environments. With completed projects ranging from various recording studios, mix rooms, post production complexes, video and audio edit bays, voice over booths, radio stations and even apartment based home studios, no gig has been too small or too large! We also have a very successful track record in large and small AV control systems, corporate board rooms, home cinema and distributed audio systems. A visit to a busy UTW jobsite will find a tech savvy Fagan who isn’t one to always point and have his guys do all the work. He does his share of pointing, but Fagan also spends his long days leading Under The Wire’s customized installations and is not afraid “to get dirty to get the job done….”

From the high bandwidth HD video cable we use to interconnect broadcast equipment to the shielded copper audio cable we use to wire up custom recording studios, every effort is made to ensure the highest quality possible signal path.

We promptly return phone calls and are able to respond to service calls very quickly. We can usually have a tech to your site within a few hours of a call to our support line.
